이민 준비 마지막 단계라고 할 수 있는 마지막으로 프로필 재작성과 서류 준비에 대해 글을 써보고자 한다.
이 부분이 가장가장가장 시간이 많이 걸리고 신중하게 적어야 하고 나 같은 경우도 3번이나 리뷰했는데도 계속 안 맞는 부분이 나왔다. 이 글을 보면서 하나하나 차근히 따라 하길 바란다.
인비테이션을 받게 되면 나의 어카운트 메세지 란에 "Invitation to Apply"를 볼 수 있다.
그 상단을 보면 "Continue an application you haven't submitted" 에
Permanent Residency Type이 생긴 것을 볼 수 있다.
가장 맨 오른쪽에 Action 열에 [Continue application]을 클릭하면 영주권 수속비용 처리 방식에 대한 질의가 나온다.
조금 더 빠른 수속을 원한다면 "I will pay both Application Fees and RPRF"를 선택하는 것이 좋다.
[Next]를 누르면 Permanent Residence Applicaiton을 보게 된다.
각 항목별로 [Continue form]을 들어가 정보를 최종적으로 작성하면 된다.
1. Personal details
1) Names Section
- Last name : 성
- First name : 이름
- Has this person ever used any other name (required)?
Yes : 따로 사용하는 이름이 있다면 "Yes"
No : 따로 사용하는 이름이 없다면 "No"
2) Personal description
- Gender : 여성, 남성
- Date of birth : 생년월일
- Country of birth : 태어난 나라
- City/town of birth : 태어난 도시 (한국에서는 시단 위를 적으면 된다)
- Please enter your height in : (1) centimetres(cm); or (2) feet and inches. Do not enter your height using both metric and imperial units of measurement. 키를 cm 혹은 feet 단위 둘 중에 하나를 적으면 된다.
- Eye colour : 눈 색깔
3) Marital status
- Marital status : 결혼 여부를 선택하면 된다. 싱글인 경우 "Never Married/Single"
- Has [이름] been previously married or in a common-law relationship? 결혼이나 커 먼로를 한 적이 있는지 물어보는 질문
없다면 "No"를 선택
4) ID documents - summary
현재 가지고 있는 여권정보를 다 기입하면 된다.
- Are you a lawful permanent resident of the United States with a valid U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service(USCIS) nubmer? 미국에 시민권이나 영주권을 보유하고 있는지 여부를 묻는 질문이다.
5) Immigration history and citizenships
- In the past 10 years, have you given your fingerprints and photo(biometrics) for an application to come to Canada? 바이오메트릭스를 work permit을 받았을 때 받았던 기록이 있어서 "yes"를 했다. 바이오메트릭을 안 하신 분들은 "No"를 선택하면 된다.
- Has [이름] applied to immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada before? work permit이나 study permit 혹은 둘 다 받은 적이 있다면 반드시"Yes"를 선택
- Has [이름] applied for Permanent Residence (PR) before? 영주권을 전에 신청한 적이 있다면 "Yes" 나의 경우 처음이기 때문에 "No"를 선택했다.
- if [이름] has a Unique Client Identifier(UCI) please enter it below : 나의 경우 최근에 받은 비자가 working permit이라서 working permit에 나온 UCI를 넣어주었다. **NOTE : working permit 을 받으면서 바이오메트릭을 받았다면 이 UCI 를 넣는 순간 자동으로 바이오 메트릭이 연동된다.
- Country of citizenship : 현재 나의 시민권 국가, "Korea, South"
- Country of residence : 현재 거주 국가 "Canada" 현재 캐나다에 체류 중이라면 캐나다로 넣어준다.
6) Family
- How many family members does [이름] have? (This include [이름], a spouse or partner, dependent children, and their dependent children) : 나를 포함한 영주권을 신청하는 가족수를 묻는 질문이다. 본인만 하는 경우는 "1"
- How much money(in Canadian dollars) will [이름] bring to Canada to support themselves and their family? : Skilled Worker 전형으로 인비테이션을 받은 경우라면 서포트할 돈을 영주권을 하는 사람 수에 따라 넣어주어야 한다. 아래의 링크를 참고하길 바란다 - Proof of Funds
- Does [이름] have a relative who is a citizen or permanent resident of Canada? (This relative must be 18 or older and living in Canada)? 직계가족 중에 시민권이나 영주권 자가 있는지 묻는 질문이다. 나의 경우 없기 때문에 "No"

- 직계가족에 대한 정보를 넣는 란이 있다. 관계, 성, 이름, 성별, 생일, 태어난 나라 , 사는 나라, 사는 도시를 각 가족에 맞추어 쓰면 된다. 나의 경우 엄마, 아빠, 동생 정보를 넣었다. (구성원이 이민을 하지 않더라도 넣음)
2. Contact details
1) Language of correspondence
"English"로 선택해주면 된다.
2) Telephone/Fax
연락이 가능한 연락처를 적으면 된다.
3) Email address
연락이 가능한 이메일 주소를 적으면 된다.
4) Mailing address
우편을 받을 수 있는 우편주소를 적으면 된다.
5) Address History
Provide all of the addresses where [이름] has lived in the past ten years or since [이름] 18th birthday, whichever is most recent. Do not leave any gaps. Check the list at the bottom of the form first to see the information you have already saved.
만으로 18세 이후 살았던 모든 주소지를 공백 없이 입력하면 된다. 만약 기간에 공백이 있을 경우에는 다음 페이지로 넘어가지 않으니 꼭 확인하기 바란다.
3. Study and languages
1) Native Language
First language/mother tongue : Korean을 선택하면 된다.
2) Education history - 국내 대학
We will assess [이름]'s secondary and post-secondary periods of study for eligibility for Express Entry, and use them to calculate [이름]'s score. 영주권 점수에 반영되는 학위만 입력하면 된다는 뜻이다.
나의 경우 한국에 4년제 학위가 있었기 때문에 국내 대학 학위를 WES에서 이민용으로 인증을 받고 아래와 같은 정보를 입력하였다.
- Has [이름] finished high school or any higher education(including university, college or vocational training)? Yes
- Field of Study : 자신이 전공한 분야를 쓰면 되는데 졸업증명서나 영문 성적표에 나온 major에 맞는 부분을 찾아 기록하면 된다.
- Since what year? 학교 입학 날짜
- This is my current study : 졸업을 했으므로 "No"
- To : 학교 졸업 날짜
- Complete/full academic years : 4년제 대학이기 때문에 "4"로 기록
- Full-time/part-time study : Full Time
- Standing at the end of study period : Certificate or diploma or degree awarded
- Country of study : Korea, South
- City/town of study : Seoul 학교가 있는 지역으로 학교가 속한 시를 적으면 된다.
- Name of school/Institution : 대학교 영문 이름
- Level of education : Bachelor’s degree or other programs (three or more years) at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute 대체적으로 4년제 학위는 이와 같은 항목을 설정해 주면 된다.
- Was [이름] awarded a Canadian degree, diploma or certificate for this period of study? 한국에서 받은 학위에 대한 설명이므로 "No"
- Has [이름] had an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) within the past five years for this degree, diploma, or certificate? "Yes"
캐나다가 인증한 기관에서 인증서를 받았는지 물어보는 질문이다. WES 기관에서 인증을 받았으므로 "Yes"를 선택하면 된다. - Organization that issued the Education Credential Assessment(ECA) World Education Services
인증받은 기관의 이름 - Date ECA report issued : WES에 찍힌 인증받은 날짜를 적어주면 된다.
- ECA certificate number : 아래 사진의 ECA# 부분에 적힌 숫자+문자 조합을 적어준다.
- Level of education (Canadian equivalent) shown on Education Credential Assessment(ECA) report Your ECA report will tell you if your foreign education is equal to a completed Canadian degree, diploma or certificate. You must have the results of an ECA report to answer the question. If you are not sure what your result was, visit our website to understand what your ECA report results mean. : ECA 즉, WES에서 인증한 학력의 수준을 입력해 주면 된다.
3) Education history - 캐나다 대학
나의 경우 캐나다 공립 2년제 컬리지를 졸업했기 때문에 이 항목도 추가로 넣어야 한다.
- Has [이름] finished high school or any higher education(including university, college or vocational training)? Yes
- Field of Study : 자신이 전공한 분야를 쓰면 되는데 졸업증명서나 영문 성적표에 나온 major에 맞는 부분을 찾아 기록하면 된다. 나의 경우 IT 전공이었기 때문에 "Computing / Information Technology"
- Since what year? 학교 입학 날짜
- This is my current study : 졸업을 했으므로 "No"
- To : 학교 졸업 날짜
- Complete/full academic years : 2년제 대학이기 때문에 "2"로 기록
- Full-time/part-time study : Full Time
- Standing at the end of study period : Certificate or diploma or degree awarded
- Country of study : Canada
- City/town of study : Toronto 학교가 있는 지역으로 학교가 속한 도시를 적으면 된다.
- Name of school/Institution : 대학교 영문 이름
- Level of education : Two-year program at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute대체적으로 2년제 학위는 이와 같은 항목을 설정해 주면 된다.
- Was [이름] awarded a Canadian degree, diploma or certificate for this period of study? 캐나다에서 받은 학위에 대한 설명이므로 "Yes"
- Was this degree, diploma or certificate: 캐나다 이민국에서 인증이 되는 학위인지 여부를 묻는 질문이다. 공립학교 이므로 "Yes"
- What is the Designated Leaning Institution (DLI) number of the school? (If you don't know it, you can find it on our site) : 정부에서 인증학교는 학교마다 DLI 넘버가 있는데 아래의 사이트에서 학교명을 검색하면 해당 DLI 넘버를 찾을 수 있다.

- Was more than half the study program English or French as a second language courses? 이 부분이 굉장히 애매한 해서 부분이었는데 세컨드 랭귀지로 영어나 프랑스어로 대학 수업을 진행했냐는 여부이기 때문에"No"이다. 캐나다 공립학교는 영어나 프랑스어가 First language 이기 때문이다.
- Did [이름] study in Canada based on an award that required them to go back to their home country to apply their knowledge and skills? This includes some awards from Global Affairs Canada. 학교를 다녔을 때 다시 본인의 국가로 돌아가는 규정이 있는 학위였는지 묻는 질문이다. 나 같은 경우 이것에 해당이 안되기 때문에 "No"
4) Official Language
Sectio1 : knowledge of official languages
- Can [이름] communicate in English and/or Franch? 오피셜 랭귀지 시험을 본 언어를 선택한다. 대부분의 경우 English 일 것이다.
Section 2 : Official language assessment
아이엘츠 제너럴 기준으로 아래 질문에 답을 적어보았다.
- Has [이름] taken an approved language test to assess their English skiils? "Yes"
- Language test taken "IELTS"
- Language test version "IELTS General Training"
- Date of language test 시험을 본 날
- Date of test results 시험 결과를 받은 날
- Language test result form or certificate number 아이엘츠 성적표를 보면 하단에 아이엘츠 자격증 번호가 나와있다. Test Report Form Number 옆에 숫자를 써주면 된다.

- Has [이름] taken an approved language test to assess their Franch skills? 프랑스어 시험을 응시했는지 여부를 묻는 질문이다. "No"
4. Application details

2) Nomination and selection
LMIA 같은 것을 받은 분들이 넣는 정보란으로 나의 경우 해당이 되지 않기 때문에 이 부분의 설명은 생략한다.
5. Representative
대리인을 사용하는지의 여부이다. 만약 이민 회사나 변호사를 통해 하는 것이 아니라면"No"를 선택하면 된다.
6. Work history
1) Occupation
이민을 하기 위한 메인 직업을 적는 란이다. 나의 경우 캐나다에 현재 컴퓨터 프로그래머로 일을 하기 때문에 Primary job을 적어주면 된다.
본인의 직업과 가장 유사한 직업군을 NOC code 검색을 해서 코드를 적어주면 된다.
- Primary occupation (4 digit NOC Code) : 2174 - Computer Programmers and Interactive Media Developers
- Date [이름] first became qualified to practice in this occupation : 이 직업을 실제 시작한 년도와 달을 적어주면 되는데 반드시 경력증명서에 나온 날짜를 기준으로 적기를 바란다. (증명을 해야 하기 때문에)
2) Canadian certificate of qualification
- Does [이름] have a certificate of qualification from a Canadian province or territory? 직업마다 Certificate가 필요한 직업군이 있는데 나의 경우 필요가 없다. "No"
3) Intended work in Canada
- Does [이름] have a job offer in Canada? 회사로부터 잡 오퍼를 받은 건지 여부를 묻는 질문이다. 나의 경우 직접 구직을 해서 직업을 잡았기 때문에 "No"
4) Work History - 현 직장
- Does [이름] have any work history? "Yes"
- Since what year? 반드시 employment letter에 나온 시작 년도와 달을 정확히 매치되게 써야한다. This is my current Job [Checked] : 현 직장에 관련한 내용이라 체크표시를 했다.
- Hours per week : "37.5" 반드시 employment letter 에 나온 주당 일한 시간을 적어주면 된다.
- Four digit NOC code : 본인의 직업에 관련된 NOC code를 검색해서 번호를 넣어주면 된다. 나의 경우 application developer 이 오피셜 잡 타이틀이라 NOC code 2174를 넣어주었다.
- Job title : "Application Developer" 반드시 employment letter에 나온 job title 을 적어준다,
- Employer/company name : 고용주 이름, 회사 official name 잘 모르겠다면 employment letter 에 나온 회사명을 적으면 된다.
아래는 회사 주소를 각 항목에 맞춰 적어주면 된다.
- Country/ territory : "Canada"
- Province or territory : "Ontario"
- City/town : "Toronto"
- Street address :
Do any of the following conditions apply:
- Working legally in Canada during this time? "Yes" 법적으로 캐나다에 일할 수 있는 자격이 있는지를 물어보는 질문으로 PGWP를 받고 일을 한 사람이라면 Yes를 선택해야 한다.
- Studying full-time while doing this job? A person must be in class at leat 15 hours per week during the academic year to be considered full-time. This includes any period of training in the workplace that is part of the study program. " No" 일을 하는 동안 학교를 다녔는지 여부를 묻는 것으로 반드시 "No"를 해야 한다. international student는 캐나다에서 풀타임으로 일하는 것이 불법이다.
- which of these categories does [이름]'s job fall under?현재 나의 비자 상태를 물어보는 질문이다. 나의 경우 PGWP 가 있고 LMIA는 회사에서 서포트를 받고 있지 않기 때문에 "Work permit required, no LMIA required" 라 체크하였다.
5) Work History - 구직장
- Does [이름] have any work history? "Yes"
- Since what year? 반드시 employment letter에 나온 시작 연도와 달을 정확히 매치되게 써야 한다.
- To : 반드시 employment letter에 나온 일을 종료한 년도와 달을 정확히 매치되게 써야한다.
- Hours per week : "40" 반드시 employment letter 에 나온 주당 일한 시간을 적어주면 된다.
- Four digit NOC code : 본인의 직업에 관련된 NOC code를 검색해서 번호를 넣어주면 된다.
- Job title : 반드시 employment letter에 나온 job title 을 적어준다,
- Employer/company name : 고용주 이름, 회사 official name 잘 모르겠다면 employment letter 에 나온 회사명을 적으면 된다.
아래는 회사 주소를 각 항목에 맞춰 적어주면 된다.

6) Research
리서치 항목은 따로 자세히 기입하지 않도록 하겠다.
7. Personal history
1) Personal activities
10년 전부터 지금까지의 기록 혹은 십 년 전이 18살 보다 어리다면 18살부터 현재 나이까지 본인의 직업 상태, 학생 여부 등등의 activity를 적는다.
나의 경우 아르바이트를 3년 정도 했지만 증명할 방법이 없어 이 기간을 "Unemployed" 상태로 표기했다.
반드시 시간 순서대로 작성하길 바란다.
2) Travel History
10년 전부터 지금까지의 기록 혹은 십 년 전이 18살 보다 어리다면 18살부터 현재 나이까지 본인의 국가와 canada를 제외한 모든 여행 기록을 적는다. 어떤 분들은 캐나다에서 한국을 왔다 갔다 한 것도 적었다고 하던데 나의 경우 적지는 않았다.
여행기록을 찾고 싶다면 한국에서는 출입국기록을 민원 24에서 발급받을 수 있고 그 외 캐나다에서 출발한 여행이라면 온라인 바우처가 반드시 이메일에 남겨 있을 것이므로 보는 날을 기록해 놓자.
나의 경우 아래와 같이 엑셀로 정리를 해놓았다.
- has [이름], and if applicable, [이름]'s family members taken any trips outside their country of origin or residence in the last ten years (or since their 18th birthday if this was less than ten years ago). Include all trips: tourism, business, training, etc. 당신과 해당이 된다면 당신의 가족이 최근 10년 동안 거주목적과 시민권인 국가를 제외하고 여행한 기록이 있는가? "Yes"
- From : 여행 출발 년, 월, 일
- To : 본국 혹은 캐나다 도착 년, 월, 일
- Country of visit : 방문 국가명
- City/Town or region of visit : 방문 도시명
- Purpose of Travel : 대부분 나는 관광 목적이어서 "Tourism"이라고 써주었다.
3) Statutory Questions
드디어 마지막 섹션이다. 기본적인 범죄 여부나 이민의 결격사유, 난민에 관련된 질문으로 다 "No"를 표시하는 것이 맞지만 혹여나 본인에게 해당하는 부분이 있다면 "Yes"로 바꾸어 써 주어야 한다.
아래는 한국어 해석이니 참고하길 바란다.
- Has [이름] been convicted of a convicted of a crime or offence in Canada for which a pardon has not been granted under the Criminal Records Act of Canada? 캐나다의 범죄기록법에 따라 사면이 허가되지 않은 범죄나 범죄로 유죄판결을 받은 적이 있는가?
- Has [이름] ever committed, been arrested for, been charged with or convicted of any criminal offence in any country? 어느 나라에서든 범죄 행위를 저지르고, 체포되거나, 기소되거나, 유죄 판결을 받은 적이 있습니까?
- Has [이름] made previous claims for refugees protection in Canada or at a Canadian visa office abroad, in any other country or countries, or with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees(UNHCR)? 캐나다 또는 해외, 다른 국가 또는 국가 또는 유엔 난민 고등 판무관(UNHCR)의 캐나다 비자 사무소에서 난민 보호에 대한 이전 주장을 한 적이 있습니까?

드디어 길고 긴 application 작성을 마치고 준비한 서류들을 각 항목에 맞게 업로드해주면 된다.

뒤에 전자 싸인과 모든 것을 마치게 되면 Application Type에 "Permanent Residency"라는
항목이 생기고 이제는 기다림만이 남았다.
